The Benefits of Laser Treatments
Your skin puts up with a lot from pollution to harsh UV rays. The good news: Flawless skin isn’t impossible, but it does take effort.
If you’re one of the millions whose dealt with acne during adolescence (and maybe well beyond into your 20’s, 30’s and even 40’s) there are likely signs to show. Add in a not-so-stellar diet, hormonal shifts, stress and normal aging and you may not be thrilled with your current skin situation.
While a good skin-care regimen (plus the periodic chemical peel or microderm) may be effective for youthful skin these basic but important steps don’t always deliver the results we want as we age. That soft and smooth skin of our youth can be incredibly difficult to maintain when factoring in all of the external and internal elements at play.
There’s no magical cure to guarantee gorgeous skin but there are effective, science-backed treatments that doctors and dermatologists stand by to deliver visible results. One of the most beneficial treatments to improve the appearance of your skin and treat minor facial flaws are laser treatments.
DEFINITION: Laser = Light Amplified by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
Laser treatments are seen as a golden standard because they can effectively combat multiple skin issues using different wavelengths of light to produce different results. Lasers have gained popularity over the years because they’re non-invasive with little to no downtime*.
A few of the skin conditions lasers are effective at treating include:
• Sun damage and pigmentation
• Acne scarring (face or body)
• Uneven skin tone or texture
• Fine lines
• Rosacea & Broken Capillaries
Here at Fresh Medical Spa we offer three types of laser treatments: Photofacials (also known as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments), Non-Ablative Laser Resurfacing (aka Non-Ablative Fractional Resurfacing) and Ablative Laser Resurfacing (aka Ablative Fractional Resurfacing). Each of these laser are effective at delivering tone and texture improvements the degree to which depends on one factor: YOU!
